Summary
Cetechs is seeking a General Clerk I to support service members transitioning from military to civilian life. This role involves direct client contact, data management, workshop coordination, and documentation in compliance with the Transition Assistance Program (TAP) requirements. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong organizational, communication, and technical skills and possess a basic understanding of military culture and support systems.
Key Responsibilities
  • Establish contact with clients within 365 days of separation. Document Initial Counseling (IC) and Tier Assessments as separate occurrences in the AFFIRST database.
  • Create and update TAP-related workshops in AFFIRST. Assign and schedule required IC Transition tasks to ensure compliance and keep informational material current.
  • Update client checklists on DD Form 2648 in milConnect after completion of required workshops and documentation.
  • Maintain accountability statistics for TAP in AFFIRST. Use collected data to develop charts, logs, and summaries for program reporting.
  • Utilize internet databases and communication mechanisms such as Skype, VTC, and FaceTime. Maintain proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and office automation tools.

Qualifications
  • Minimum of six (6) months of data entry experience.
  • Proficiency with personal computers and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Familiarity with internet databases and virtual communication platforms (Skype, VTC, FaceTime).
  • Knowledge of office automation software programs, tools, and techniques.
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse groups and populations.
  • Skilled in typing and operation of office equipment.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to plan, organize, and meet deadlines.
  • Effective communication skills in English (read, write, speak, and understand).
  • Basic understanding of military protocol, support group organizations, and family systems in a military setting preferred.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and comply with privacy regulations.
