40 hours per week
Must be available to support:
- Medical Readiness Events (MREs)
- Periodic Health Assessments (PHAs)
- Soldier Readiness Processing (SRP) events
- Occasional drill weekends and alternate work schedules as required
No overtime authorized. Schedule may be flexed to support weekend events.
Position Overview
The Registered Nurse Case Manager provides non-clinical medical readiness and case management support for Arizona Army National Guard Soldiers. This role focuses on coordinating medical, dental, and behavioral health readiness activities to ensure Soldiers meet deployment and retention requirements.
The RN Case Manager serves as a liaison among Soldiers, military medical providers, unit leadership, and government stakeholders to resolve medical readiness issues and maintain deployable force readiness.
Minimum Qualifications
Required:
- Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse license
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Current American Heart Association BLS Certification
- Minimum of 3 years of nursing experience
- Ability to obtain and maintain military installation access
- Ability to obtain a Common Access Card (CAC)
- Must reside in Arizona or be able to work on-site daily
Preferred:
- Military, VA, TRICARE, or DoD healthcare experience
- Case Management experience
- Knowledge of Army medical readiness systems
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Manage medical, dental, and behavioral health readiness cases
- Conduct Soldier intake interviews regarding deployment-limiting conditions
- Track and manage medically non-deployable Soldiers
- Coordinate medical appointments and treatment plans
- Review and maintain Soldier medical readiness documentation
- Assist with Medical Evaluation Boards (MEB) and Physical Evaluation Boards (PEB)
- Coordinate care with military treatment facilities, VA providers, and civilian healthcare providers
- Maintain records within Army medical systems
- Generate readiness reports and case management metrics
- Participate in Soldier Readiness Processing (SRP) and Periodic Health Assessment (PHA) events
- Educate Soldiers on available healthcare resources and benefits
- Ensure HIPAA compliance and protection of protected health information
- Support mobilization and deployment readiness initiatives
- Conduct quality assurance reviews of medical documentation and case files
