Cetechs is seeking Data Expert SME to serve as a national authority on healthcare data analytics within the VA, leading teams in the collection, analysis, interpretation, and reporting of healthcare data to support VHA leadership in decision-making, quality improvement, and policy advancement.

Cetechs is seeking Data Expert SME to serve as a national authority on healthcare data analytics within the VA, leading teams in the collection, analysis, interpretation, and reporting of healthcare data to support VHA leadership in decision-making, quality improvement, and policy advancement.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and execute methodologies for collecting, cleaning, analyzing, and reporting data relevant to VA health programs.
- Lead complex analytic projects and provide expert consultation on the use of data for program analysis, policy development, and operational improvement.
- Develop, maintain, and optimize large data systems—including database management, survey methodologies, and advanced statistical modeling.
- Present findings to senior leaders, translating data analytics into actionable recommendations for healthcare operations and strategic planning.
- Ensure data integrity, privacy, and compliance with federal standards throughout all data management activities.
- Coordinate project implementation and reporting, including milestones, risk assessment, and communication with project leadership.
- Lead in the design and development of data-driven solutions using AI, machine learning, and other advanced analytics tools.
- Supervise, mentor, and train data analysts and support staff in proper methodologies and VA mission alignment.
- Advanced degree in data science, statistics, computer science, health informatics, or a related field.
- Extensive experience (typically 8+ years) in statistical analysis, database management, and healthcare data interpretation within a hospital, health system, or related agency.
- Expert proficiency with analytic software (e.g., SAS, SQL Server, Access) and healthcare data sets.
- Mastery of data analysis, modeling, and visualization techniques.
- Exceptional project management, communication, and leadership ability.
- Ability to supervise teams and manage multiple complex projects simultaneously.
- Knowledge of healthcare policy, performance data, and regulatory requirements.
