Summary

The Application Developer supports development, enhancement, and maintenance of CCQDER applications and systems used to manage survey data, interview recordings, and research outputs. The role supports migration from legacy systems to commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) platforms.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and enhance CCQDER internal applications

• Provide support for legacy systems including:

  • Q-Video

  • Q-Notes

  • Q-Bank

  • Recruitment database

• Support migration from legacy systems to COTS platforms

• Design and implement system enhancements

• Develop application architecture and documentation

• Ensure systems meet CDC security and ATO requirements

• Support CDC SDLC development processes

• Maintain enterprise systems documentation

• Ensure applications meet Section 508 accessibility requirements

• Troubleshoot application issues and outages

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field

• 5+ years software development or systems analysis experience

• Experience developing user-facing applications

• Experience with databases and data management systems

• Experience with secure application environments

Preferred

• Experience supporting federal IT systems

• Knowledge of CDC or HHS SDLC processes

• Experience with research data platforms
