Position Overview
Cetechs is seeking highly qualified Ultrasound Technologists for the VA Portland Health Care System. This role directly impacts veteran patient care through performing ultrasound examinations and maintaining accurate medical documentation.
Key Responsibilities
· Perform a broad range of diagnostic ultrasound scans including general, vascular, breast, and other specialized examinations
· Document patient care and examination results in VA electronic health record systems
· Maintain ultrasound equipment and report any malfunctions
· Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, and healthcare team members
· Process and prepare images for interpretation
· Follow VA/FHCC policies and procedures for patient privacy and information security
· Assist physicians with diagnostic and therapeutic procedures
Qualifications
Required:
· ARRT-US license or American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) certification
· Minimum 1 year experience performing general and vascular ultrasound examinations
· Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
· Proficiency in written and spoken English
· Computer literacy for electronic health record documentation
· Must be able to pass VA background investigation
· Must obtain and maintain VA PIV card and network access
· Prior experience in a VA or federal healthcare setting (Preferred)
· Experience with Oracle/Cerner Electronic Health Record system (Preferred)
