Shipping/Receiving Clerk

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Set up and maintain delivery files (including, but not limited to GSA Advantage Orders, correspondence files, damage claims, discrepancy, or deficiency files, receiving logs, reports, etc.)
  • Copies of courier's manifest, bills of lading, packing slips, etc. will be filed by date received.
  • Inspect, check packing slips, and count the number of packages received for each allotted delivery.
  • Coordinate requests for shipments including exhibits, records to archives, office equipment, supplies, and furniture.
  • Ensure all deliveries are picked up and/or delivered in a timely (a minimum of 24 hours) manner.
  • Must be capable of lifting a minimum of 50 lbs.

In addition to your responsibilities cross training in the following task will be required.

  • Task 1 - Receptionist & Switchboard Operator in the Visitor Control Center
  • Tasks 3 - Mailroom Secretary I
  • Task 4 - Schedule/Maintenance
  • Task 5 - US Access Registrar/Credentialing for Personal Identify Verification (PIV) Cards

Job Requirements are as follows:

  • Must have High School Diploma/GED.
  • Must have 2 years' experience in Shipping and Receiving Clerk.
