About the Role

We are seeking a Licensed Optician or ABO-Certified Optician to support the Department of Veterans Affairs by providing optical services to veteran patients.

The Optician will assist with eyewear dispensing, measurements, adjustments, and patient education in a clinical setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Fit and dispense prescription eyewear

• Measure pupillary distance and segment height

• Assist patients with frame selection

• Verify prescription specifications

• Perform minor eyeglass repairs and adjustments

• Document patient care in VA electronic health records

• Maintain compliance with VA and HIPAA regulations

Qualifications

• State Licensed Optician or ABO Certification

• Experience in optical dispensing

• Excellent customer service skills

• Ability to work in a healthcare environment

• Ability to obtain VA background clearance

Monday–Friday
8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
